How to turn on 3g in Galasy Fit Android version 2.2.1

Hi all,
I have galaxy fit and i need to know how to turn on 3g in it. My SIM card is 3g active am able to use 3g services in other mobile but not in Fit.
I tried some option to turn on 3g. like Settings ---> Wireless and mobile networks ---> Mobile networks --> "Use 2g network only" in that i have unchecked above check box even though am not able to connect to 3g network.
I am using the android version 2.2.1
Can anyone please tel me how to turn on 3g.

Following are the steps to turn on 3G in Galasy fit android Version 1.Tap the menu icon.2.Than scroll toward right andselect the settings 3.Select Wireless andwireless networks4.Scroll down to select Mobile network5.you will get a list on the screen 6.A dialoque boxwill get populated in front of with different options.7. As soon as you will select this option,3G is enabled on your phone.
