If you are talking about apps that came with the device they can't be deleted unless you have root access.

It depends where you download them from. If you download apps from Google Play (former Market),.you shouldn't worry about the files as the Android is managing them on its own. If you download them from elsewhere outside Google Play, find files with '.apk' extension (for example 'Skype.apk'). These are the installation files for the apps. When you download them from your browser, the files are in the 'download' folder.

Thanks for ur valuable comments. Now, it wont bother me about my storage in the cell. I had always been madly searching for all these files downloaded from Google play as I have a freaky interest of digging inside anything.. ;-)
