How to Update Rooted Phone with OS 4.0.1

    Hi,

It's been a while since I rooted my phone via odin. I did it because I wanted to play an expensive game for free. What I'm worrying about, is that I cannot update my phone with the automatic update feature, and should use kies instead.

Another is, if I update via kies or install jelly bean (4.1) instead, will I lose all my files and data that is in the internal memory of my phone. And will the game I installed and it's data (saved data) be gone?

    I'm using samsung galaxy s3 gt-i9300, btw.
    Thanks in advance!

You cannot update via KIES/OTA if you're rooted. Flash upgrade/update via mobile odin.

To back up use Titanium Backup.
