    - please note that Viber does not officially support 2G (EDGE) connection (only 3G, 4G and WiFi). Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help - EDGE is a relatively old technology that is too slow to conduct stable VoIP calls.

I have a very weird problem here. Whenever I try to use viber directly (clicking on the viber icon right beside my friends who have it), it adds a number 9 in front of the number and I can't call. But if I insert the number manually it works. Does anyone know how to solve it?

    Hi,
I believe you already contacted us in another forum or on Facebook, correct?
In order to try and help you, we would need more info on this matter - what country you are located in, what number you registered with and how your contacts' numbers are saved.

    Hi all,
I'm excited to announce the Viber 2.1.3 is finally available for download on Market.
First and foremost, this new version is compatible with ICS (Android 4) - so the long anticipation is finally over

In addition, the new version contains bug fixes and small new features for your convenience.

Please try it out and let us know if you encounter any special problems.

    Best regards,
    the Viber Team

    Hi,

This feature does not exist in iPhone either yet. We are working on an option of exporting message history, and we hope to complete it in time to add it to our upcoming version 2.2 (coming to Play Store hopefully within the next week or two).

    Location "sending" option
    - my partner downloaded Viber 2.2.0 and have now uninstalled it after two weeks or so. Her major concern is the "user location privacy" with no way to disable / turn it off at the application level.

When typing a message on the Viber screen, it is too easy to bump one finger towards the right side of the input screen box. Presto!, the user's location (as stored in the phone's Location Services) is automatically embedded when the message is sent out - where the "Send" button is also located at the right side of the input box. There is no way to stop that, once the message is sent out.

    My suggestion?
    a) Move the Location (arrow pin) to the left side area - after the 'Camera' icon and before the 'Message' box (data input). This option SHOULDN'T be next to the 'Send' button.
    b) Provide an option at Settings (via More), to set as default whether location "broadcasting" always embedded OR always disabled.

Suppose, my wife wants to send a Viber message - with the 'always disable location' option set via Settings - and wants to give her's phone Location data, she could click on that arrow pin, and when message is sent out - the arrrow pin reverts to whatever the default setting is (i.e. the location be turned off for my wife).

If these can be included in a new version of Viber, then my wife would be happy to download Viber once again.

As an aside, why is there no way for Viber customers to contact via Viber.com website or its HelpDesk? Not everyone wants to give feedback via a social platform (e.g. Viber Facebook page or Twitter's Viber hashtag).

    1. We are planning to develop an option to use 1 Viber number on multiple devices. This will address the need you are describing, but unfortunately we still don't know just when it will be ready.

    2. Same goes for importing/exporting message history - it is something we plan, but at the moment we have other, more urgent tasks to attend to.

I will certainly keep you posted on news, or you can follow us on Facebook for the latest news and updates

    Hi,
We have already replied to you in other forums to this question, so we will copy our response:
    "
    Hi,
Are you referring to the general Auto Back Up setting of Android?

This sounds like a feature that is related to Google itself, and not to Viber. Thus, it is advised that you contact Google Support for more information on this.
