Viber - Calls and Text Anyone in the Word for FREE
Viber is an Android* and iPhone application that lets you make free phone calls and send free text messages to other users that have Viber installed.
When you use Viber, your phone calls to any other Viber user are free, and the sound quality is much better than a regular call.
You can call any Viber user, anywhere in the world, for free and now also text them.
All Viber features are 100% FREE and do not require any additional “in application” purchase.
When you install Viber on your phone, it will scan your contacts and let you know who else is using the service so that you can call them for free.
Also, you can make it your default dialing application, so when you call a contact on your phone, it will automatically go through Viber if they have the service enabled too.

Reminds me of Fring, Skype, and a few others.
Are there any advantages to this over others? I'm guessing it uses your data connection?

Could Viber send a wrong location, when someone clicks on the 'location' button (triangulair image) in the 'text input window'? My girlfriend activated this 'location' thing (accidentally, I guess) and when I checked afterwards, it showed her 'normal' location (her work place), but she claimed she was somewhere else at that time (8 hours drive away from there, in a very small village, where there was maybe no good way for Viber to find the exact location, so it might have sent the last one known - in cache, or so).
Would help me a lot to find out if she's speaking the truth...

Is it possible that Viber could send a wrong location (like the last one used before the current one - still in cache) if it can't determine the new location? Or, in other words, if someone says she's in a particular location, but activates the location function of Viber (clicking on the triangulair shaped 'button' in the 'text input window' without realizing this) and it shows a different location, like 400 miles away from the one she said she was at the time of 'chatting' with Viber, could she be telling the truth?
Important for me to know...

Could it be that Viber shows your location wrong (like showing the last known/used location)? Someone told me she was at a particular place, but when she accidentally activated the location function in the text window, Viber showed a location where she used to be earlier when we both used Viber to 'chat' with each other. How much chance is there that she was not telling me the truth about her location?
