Lookout Android Security Question?
Hi was wondering if lookout protects againts infected QR codes? I was hearing on my local news that as more and more people are useing smart phones, hackers are putting more infected QR codes and when someone scans the code it can download the infected code at a very fast rate. Now if Lookout does offer that kind of protection do you have to have premium?

I believe the Premium version provides such service. The regular version can detect malicious apps that are already installed on your phone. It auto-scans it as soon as it's installed.

That's right. Lookout also gives 14-day trial of the Premium.

So some apps need a permission to check phone state why is this needed and 2 with this permission the app can find out your phone number my main question is if the app is from a trusted company will the app find your number or is it only if its a app with the permission that contains malware.
