TurnTable.fm: Androites Can Now Become Virtual DJ Legends

Turntable.fm is a cool app for Androites. A user and four of his folks can log in to a virtual dance floor, take turn playing songs for a room full of listeners who have the authority to cast an up or down vote to the songs. You can become a virtual DJ legend with this app. Alternatively, you can relax and enjoy the hand-selected music.

There is a capacity of 5 DJs in a room at one time. Each DJ gets to play, rotating through the line-up of participants. The rooms can be categorized by Needs DJs, Favorites or Popular. There’s a chat option as well.

There’s a desktop site already, and it’s on the iOS too. Android users can log in via Twitter, a feature missing on the iOS version of the app. I ran through some problems using the chat function. This may be a software glitch or I tried it when it was new and the number of people lined up for the app was overloaded.

Turntable.fm is a free download from Google Play. It is available for Androites only in the U.S
