DolphinHD browser will do the same thing and offers tabbed browsing--a big plus for me.
As to the "mobile/desk view" question: switching to mobile view will reduce the graphic content of the website you're visiting, potentially speeding up the rendering of text. With the speeds we're getting, it's generally not a big deal any more.
I just use the default nothing useful Ive seen others have that it doesn't
Thanks, I think probably that I'm just so used to my 26" Desktop PC and my 18" Widescreen Laptop that anything on a cell phone is sub-par in comparison. I'm not sure I'm the top prospect for a smart phone, but there are many things I like about it. Probably won't mess with email on the phone as I'm usually attached to a computer at least a couple of times per day. Browsing the web just seem to be a lot more of a chore. I just could never find a Mobile/Deskview option, guess I got tired of scrolling. ;-)
I'm going to have to spend a lot more time with it before I decide whether I will even use it or not. I wanted to be able to text better (which I now can) I loved my MyCast weather App, which I believe is different for Android (Haven't checked yet, but heard) and wanted to keep excellent quality phone calls, which I seem to have also. (Speaker phone not as good) Thanks for the advice, I might give your suggestions a try.
