I'm a little confused abt where to post a prob with FB.

I've found hundreds of references to the error message "cannot display friends" in the FB app, but most of the solutions are
About synching with contacts. I just want to be able to access my friends on facebook. I have uninstalled, updated, synched, unsymched, deleted contacts (just in case) and reimported. FB still won't display my friends or the page I've liked.

I am really sorry if I did this wrong. This site is very overwhelming on a phone ...I did download app so maybe that will help.

- Try to uninstall
- Then use file manager and navigate inside your sdcard.
- Find folder name Android > Data > and remove folder name "com.facebook.katana"
- Restart your phone and reinstall FB

Thanks. I tried this. I deleted FB, but could not find that file. So I reinstalled FB and then I found the file but the only content was one photo. Then when I tried to open my Friends feature - I get the same message.

Any other thoughts?

Android is really frustrating. It is so hard to find answers. The same issues seem to have been arising since 2008 or so. And no solutions.

Welcome to the forum!
There are a number of other Facebook apps in the Play store that work better than the stock app. A LOT of people rave about Friendcaster, you should really give it a try. As for viewing and replying in forums on your phone.. ..if this is something you do a lot (or would like to do a lot more of in the future) you should REALLY look into a little app called Tapatalk. it makes participation in a forum setting SO much easier and so much more enjoyable.
