Android Issues You've Had
Hello all,My name is Mike Fagan, I am new to the forum, but not to Android. I am currently working on a project involving bugs in and misconfigurations of Android apps causing users problems. Thus I appeal to the community here to share whatever interesting problems you may have come across when using your Andriod devices. Specifically, I am looking for issues that involved misconfiguration of the app or your system or problems that occurred because of interaction between apps (i.e. opening the browser crashes the email app, etc). That said, I'd be interested to hear about any problem you've had.If you want to post an issue, I'd appreciate it if you could give as much detail as possible as I'd need to be able to reproduce the problem for it to be useful to me in my project. Thanks for your time and I hope to read about some cool problems

Welcome to the forum!
Any particular make/model phone or app you're looking for information about? The fragmentation issue in the android world seems like it would make this an impossible "project", depending on what you're actually trying to accomplish here. Can you give us a better idea of what your prodject is about, or what your main priority is here? One app may cause an issue on one phone but may work perfectly fine on a couple dozen others is why i ask. And being that there are hundreds of thousands of apps, im just trying to get a better idea of your thought process here.
Thanks & good luck! :D
I'll stay the ball rolling..... I get the occasional lag with the TapaTalk app on my new Galaxy S3. I can clear the cache and that will help for a day or two.
That's the only problem I've ever had on my device.

I used a app called androimize I beliveve.... anyway its for rooted phones and it allows u to change a lot of stuff on ur phone.... LCD remove system apps CPU tweek kernel tweek etc..... well when I jump down in the LCD option it reboots ( suppost to do it) but when it comes back up if anyone tryes to call it force closes and if I try to open my messages or my contacts or phone it starts to force close rapidly till I go in to reboot and install my Android in less I can catch it just right and go bwck and change back the LCD setting but if I go down slowly I can pass the number causing it. I've down loaded different app and it doesn't happen if when making large leaps in density changes...... downy know if that is what u were looking for but there u go my friend

You probably ought to remove it then, as not worth the hassle it causes.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the posts. To answer some of the questions, my goal here is to find some case studies for an academic paper I am working on. I am developing a tool that will (hopefully) be able to detect issues on the android platform and possibly help diagnose the cause of those problems. Thus I am trying to find some issues that were caused by misconfiguration or having two apps running at the same time that caused some sort of bad behavior in one or both of the apps. What I hope to do is recreate the bug and see how the tool does trying to detect and diagnose them. I'd prefer bugs that have occured on stock android as that is the focus of this project. Not looking for a make/model in particular or even a type of app (Sorry, I know that is really vague, but I could really use anything that I can reproduce, so I'm willing to try most anything). Thanks again for the interest and questions. Feel free to ask if you still have some questions/concerns.
