How to Change 'Unknown Artist'

Hi,

My first smartfone, and my first post here.

I've been downloading music. Many songs/artists/album/artwork shows up fine. Many don't.

So...how do I 'fix' a song that comes over as 'unknown artist'?
I use ASTRO to navigate the file-system. I can move files around. I can change their names. I can create/name directories/files.
But I haven't figured out how to change 'unknown artist' to 'Miles Davis'.


Once I've resolved this, I'll be asking other questoins about how to download/store/maintain/organize my music.

Well, I'm not sure which app you're using, but many 'free' song apps won't come with album art. Some have options to search for the album art.

I don’t know whether there is an option in Android or not. I used to change the name of the artists in my PC. In PC select the file and go to properties and click the summary tab. There you can change a lot of things and you can add a description to the file too.
