    Hello, Looking for a Tablet

    Hello,

I'm less than an android newbie, but I'd like to be.

I'd like to do a little programming and I'd like something with sensors like a GPS, compass, accelerometer... I've tinkered with Raspberry Pis, Beagle Bones and Arduinos, but they lack horsepower and of course, a touch screen.

The Nexus 7 almost fits the bill, but I read about unsolved stability issues, and external storage is a little iffy.

    What recommendations?

    Cheers,
    Jeff

Spend the money and get a galaxy tab! It's well worth it... I wouldn't recommend going with any cheaper android tablets

We've got both the 2012 & 2013 Nexus 7 tablets and they both run flawlessly. The 2013 is a big improvement over the previous model in both speed and design. We use them both extensively on a daily basis and couldn't be happier. For the price, you simply can't beat the Nexus 7.
