Looking for Android Phone with Longest Battery Life

Am looking for android based smart phone with longest battery life.

My usage includes : calls, texts, WhatsApp, Viber , Skype, browsing and Emails. I am not a game player. The WiFi will be opened only when needed. However, internet ( GPRS / Edge ) would be active all the time. A decent camera ( front + back ). At the moment we have 2G services , and 3G would be launched and in-place in next couple of months.

I prefer such a phone which gives me something as 40 hours or more of standby, and talk time of more than 12 hours.

Any suggested brand / model number please ? My budget is around USD 300/= without contract ( Open, unlocked Phone )

    Regards.

    Omar Sharif

Welcome to the site. You can pull up specs online when you find phones that interest you. Also, if you have time you can find posts where owners talk about their experiences, as battery life is a popular topic.

Good luck in your search, but I don't believe you'll find much in the price range you quoted. You might try a Nexus 5 as many people seem pleased with it's battery life.

    Thanks.

Just a question, as I am newbie for android phones. I have about 3000 contacts in my phone book, and be using the phone for calls, texts, emails, browsing, skype, viber. So in your opinion the Internal ROM of 1GB is good enough ? There are some people who say that android phones get slow after a few weeks or months use, and then they take 4 to 10 seconds just open Contact lists, or Calls logs ? Is this fact ?

Moto X or Nexus 5 (I own both) would be good for what you are looking for. Both are great on battery life. The Moto X fits in my hand naturally, though it will feel small compared to a Nexus 5.

@grenefroggie : thanks. As neither Motorola nor Nexus have their official resellers in my country, so even if i buy these online, from Dubai or Singapore, I can have issue in case have any warranty claim or service needed.

on doing research about the officially available brands with their outlets & service centers, I may have to choose from Samsung, Huawei, HTC, Nokia, Sony, LG and then local brands ( OEM china ) : Q-Mobile, Voice, and G5

i have come across and liked Huawei Ascend G730 and G700. am now trying to get more info about user's opinions about these two models.
