Gaining root access is a way to finally stick it to the man! I could not imagine my phone........stock. Sorry hard for me to type it much less think about it!
Never do anything you have to explain to the Paramedics!

Not to be a buzzkill but doesn't rooting void your warranty?

Yes, thats why you revert back to stock before you send it in. Usually they dont check it anyway.

It voids your warranty if VZW finds out. This is why root apps come with unroot buttons, and worst case scenario, you can SBF back to stock.

What does SBF mean?

SBF is a file you run on your computer while the phone is connected, and it wipes your phone, and sets it back to out of the box stock. For more info check out RootzWiki.
