I know the x and I believe the Droid 2. Phones with unlocked bootloaders I don't believe need to be SBFed. Since the x/2 are locked down, SBF is the only way to bring them back from brick city.

And maybe soon we can all load custom kernels and engineer a real factory reset option.

@ WugFresh With all due respects & great apologies. Your report is, mine is not. You shared this with us giving me no right to have said my words. It is my ignorense that wrote my words, I am the blind one, with no sense how to root, shown with misspelled words. After hearing Moto's word's took me out of the park. Please continue with your post you have all the right in the world & I am no one to bring improper to you. I thank you for your post & retract my thread.

Ok, well thank-you for the apology, but don't sweat it, its really not that serious. Its all good bro

Feel free to ask me any questions anytime. Happy to help. And to your credit, you were right.. it was a little silly to have a whole post about how rooting is awsome with no info on how to actually do it lol. I could understand your perspective entirely.

Any success stories? People who were once frightened to root and now happy they did?

Rooting is where the Android addiction starts... it's one of those good addictions, you know... where you actually benefit from it!

Who is still unrooted and what do we have to do to convince you to root?
