All I really care about is battery. How much would it affect the Droid Incredible?

And if the market is open-source, what's the point? It's not like when you jailbreak an iPhone and get Cydia for themes, is it?

Rooting the incredible will allow you to use custom ROMs and kernels of which will/could increase battery.

If I could get my grubby mitts on my wife's pro that thing would be rooted with bloatware removed.

    "No." Was the response.

Sent from my GimpDroid (Installed by RZR).

    • You are petrified of any type of trouble shooting on your own.
    • You love all the blur and bloatware on the phone and have no interest in removing any of it.
    • You have mistakenly confused your android phone for an iPhone
    • You have mistakenly confused the term open-source to mean proprietary
    • You are a goody-two shoes and want to play by the rules
    • You like being told what to do
    • You use your phone as a hat
lmao that is great, esp the "You have mistakenly confused your android phone for an iPhone" lol.

I'll admit tho, I didn't root until almost a year after I got my Droid, only because I didn't want to screw it up and brick it, and have the warranty voided (this was also when I wasn't learned in the Android ways). Definitely do your research!
