Nah, he isn't joking. He has a Nexus One and it has pure unadulterated Android. Why mess with it?

Honestly, I do love the Nexus One. My only 'issue' is that it needs more memory on board. I know that can be fixed with root, but I just don't need it that badly. Now, if/when I get the Atrix, if it's rootable, I'm sure I'll root it! I don't want Blur.

I see the same argument regarding old Dynaco tube amplifiers...the famed ST70 has many mods available to improve it's sonics; but many say that once you make those mods, that it's no longer a 'classic' ST-70. I feel the same about the Nexus. My ST-70 is fully modified :D

Besides, I'm running ADW-EX Launcher, rotate through several themes and wallpapers and use a handful of helpful widgets. What more do I need from it? I was easily able to make it "my" phone.

Okay, so I'm a total n00b. But I just downloaded Z4 and I just want to make sure I don't lose any of my contacts or previously downloaded apps. I would have to say that's my only reservation.

I was automatically updated to Gingerbread, and I hate it. Since Z4 doesn't work on GB what root should I use?

    Google "Super One Click"

That might be the ticket for you.
