    battery percentage misreporting big time?

Hello. I've been reading quite a bit about how sometimes Android can misreport battery life for various reasons. I've noticed this a little bit with my Fascinate. This morning my phone completely drained to the point it would not turn on (I was doing this on purpose to try out the "conditioning" processes some users suggest). Anyway, when I plugged in the phone and then turned it on a minute or two later, the battery was at 51%, according to both the battery indicator widget and the battery icon in the status bar.

Has anyone heard of a jump this big? I literally watched the battery drain from flashing red to the point where it would not turn on. Is this a bug with the new DL09 updated, which I installed yesterday?

I don't have a fascinate but is there a way to clear battery stats? If so, turn your device off, charge to a full 100% and then let it discharge. You can the resume regular usage and it should correct within two days.
