Thanks for the tutorial. Yours was the best I could find since sipgate isn't giving out numbers and I had already had experience with callcentric and ipkall trying to get VOIP set up on a PAP-2T NA for my landline (still haven't figured that out totally).

Do you have any updates? I think the newest official google voice app lets you send texts for free so you don't need the older version for that.

im glad it worked for you. i dont have any updates because i havent seen the need for it yet but i am planning in making it smoother and easier to follow, and i think your right about the new google voice app the reason thats in there is because if you use sipgate or gizmo5 you have to use the older one but with this set up you dont have to.

At least I think that's how it's done, can't confirm as I pay for my phone plan :/ lol

I'd recommend you guys do too, or else verizon won't upgrayde it's network anymore..
Great write up probbie, but maders is definitely your easiest route. I know a few people who've been doing it this way for quite awhile now. (Not to discredit all your hard work!)
Personally i only have a 300 min plan and I'm lucky if I use 200 of those min each month.
    Great information nevertheless.... thanks probbie!

your welcome, and i just read about the new verizon data plans and they are going to have a data only package so a lot more people might want something like this.

i could dumb down the steps but then people would be complaining that they couldnt figure it out. But then i guess 8 detailed steps are more then needed for some people

Set it up but calls on wifi are not working only 3g. Did i forget to enable or disable something. Texting works on both.
