    Droid insurance replacement?

My son's droid 1 got wet and now the screen is dead. I am going to file a claim with Asurion, but was curious what will come as a replacement.

You should receive a droid 1 as your replacement. They don't do any thing special until you start having problem after problem.

Good enough, I was wondering since the Droid 1 isn't being manufactured anymore AFAIK. Thanks!

Most likely you will get a CLNR (read refurbished) unit. There have been reports of some users getting a D2, but most get a D1

    This made me laugh:

I've never had to deal with the insurance directly; however, I've had 4 warranty replacements (which are LNCRs). That said, if you pay a deductible, I'd imagine you'd get a new replacement, no?

On a side note, I own a D1 and a DX - I use the D1 for my GPS when I'm in my car (saves battery life). In the promps when activating the D1 the VZW Lady tells me "you have insurance and it may be cancelled, blah blah blah"

Called the insurance company and they told me that the insurance is on the ACCOUNT, not the PHONE. What that means is that when I have my D1 active, if I break it, it's under insurance. So, I have to be careful not to drop my DX when my D1 is activated ^^
