    Please help me understand...

There are many settings and such within Android that I would love to see changed or tweaked in future releases, but one setting I truly do not understand the purpose of is having a separate brightness setting for the stock browser on my Fascinate (is this unique to the Fascinate?). Does anyone know what the logic is behind having a separate brightness for the browser? It's probably my biggest annoyance with Android at the moment.

Functionality? As in if the bright white hurts the eyes you can lower it, maybe -- or, and here's a thought I just had, maybe it's to save battery life a bit? I don't know for sure but those two seem about right to me.

    Samsung and Android.
SAMOLED uses more battery on white than black so I'd guess it's like stated above, to turn down the white to save battery
