    2.3.4 failed update

Forgive me if there is a simple answer to this but for the life of me i can't see it.
I have a google nexus s and i noticed that it was continually downloading something, i eventually found out it is trying to download Andriod version 2.3.4 this download never gets past about 15% on the download bar then fails and starts over, a lot of this has been on 3G so I'm expecting a bill for this.
My current version is Android 2.3.1 why won't it download and why has it not updated to 2.3.2 or 2.3.3 as i have had the phone for 5 weeks.
Also i see the update for 2.3.4 is 11Mb but the size of the download my phone states is downloading is 94.8mb!

    Android version 2.3.1
    build number GRH78
    Model number Nexus S

Interesting! I'm not sure why it's failing on you, but you can try installing manually. Try this method here... Guide: Manually update to 2.3.4 from 2.3.2 or 2.3.1 - Android Forums

That will put you on 2.3.4 after first upgrading you to 2.3.3. Since there's no direct 2.3.1 to 2.3.4, you have to go the multistep method.

    Welcome to the forum, BTW!

Thanks for the welcome. I followed the link and I'm glad to say my phone now has Android 2.3.4, once 2.3.3 was installed the phone then went and downloaded 2.3.4 with out any problems

Welcome to the forum. Glad Dorian helped you through it. The failure was from not going through the multi step process. I not sure why Google made it that way. Once again welcome and glad it worked for you.
