Possible solution to Droid X spontaneous reboot.

I went burrowing into the Motorola and a whole slew of other Droid forums, and communities. I ran across one person who says he cured the issue by reformatting the SD card. This user swears that since he has done this, all spontaneoud rebooting has ceased. I'm trying the method myself. So far, zero reboots. I'll report continued success, or if the solution fails.

After one reboot, I tried reformatting the SD card using my PC, not the phone. All good so far.

    Never mind.

No joy with the SD card format curing reboot disorder. Back to the drawing board.

There are so many variables that call random reboots. Could be 2 apps don't play well together, could be a corrupt file on sd (which format would fix), system errors, custom rom, having too many apps

    No pattern

There's just no clear pattern or common thread to the issue. It seems to strike on bone stock phones, rooted ones with a truckload of apps, auto rotate turned on, off, you name it.
