OK, I'm hearing about Ginger Bread. It's supposedly dubbed Android 2.3, right? When I look at the system info on my Droid X It says that the system version is 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US.
However, it indicates the Android version as 2.2.1
Any help for the noob? Are Droid X's running Ginger Bread now, after an OTA push? or are they still running Froyo?

Your phone is still on Froyo. That's a little confusing I know but Motorola didn't ask anyone before they started naming their updates all Willy nilly.

The 2.3.340 is Motorolas system version. 2.2.1 is your android version. When gingerbread comes it will be 5.88.xx (Moto version) and 2.3.xx (android version).
