    Unhappy lookout and avg antivirus installation together possible or should be avoided?

    hi everyone..im new to android and bought moto defy as my first android.. can i install both lookout and avg both????? or should i avoid....also i use juice defender and task killer together...is it fine or cause any problem as in task killer i have ignored juice defender??? plzzzzzzzzzz help help

    For now there really is no need for avg or lookout. Also there is no reason to download a task killer.

    Juice Defender also does nothing you can't do yourself. In fact, since it runs in the background, it can actually impact your battery life negatively.

    An antivirus program runs constantly in the background draining your battery. If you only download apps from the market you shouldn't have to worry.

    There are very few viruses for Android. There IS some malware kicking around, but almost all of it is confined to non-Market sources. Anything on the Market gets found and killed very quickly.

    If you're not pirating or downloading random .apk packages from the internet you're fine.

    One of the main reasons for low viral instances is simple. Linux is inherently more secure than Windows. It's much more difficult to write a virus for Linux than it is for Windows, and even successful viruses have limited utility for the most part.

    Unless you're rooted. And even then you'd have to give the viral app SU permissions.
