How can I spell a word into Android's voice recognition?
How can I spell a word into Android's voice recognition (like a street name for example)? Android's voice recognition does understand the alphabet and numbers, but it puts spaces between the letters. If I say the first three letters of the alphabet, the result is "A B C" instead of "ABC". This prevents me from entering a word by spelling it.
I have a hard time believing that such a necessary feature does not exist. Every result I get from the net refers to spell-checking and not what I am looking for. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I'm unaware of a current method of doing this. However, it is my impression that the voice recognition routines have been vastly improved in Android 4.0.
I too find the inaccuracy and often-limited vocabulary to be very frustrating. I really hope they improved it enough for Ice Cream Sandwich.
DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACE
THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK
I would like to have such an option too, i'm not a native English speaker, so almost all of my contacts are unavailable (my language is still unsupported). also sending texts would be much easier if you can spell some 'funky' word or shortcut etc.
