Not to sure that about that particular app. I do however know that any app "supposedly" maintaining battery life ecetera usually requires running in the background. So, my question or statement to you is; how can it save battery life if it uses constant power to do so?

Wow that was a really nice thing to say. I really like this sight. I'm really a quick learner. I want to learn as much about this phone and the android operating system as I can. I'm trying to read as much as I can about rooting. Fox Says I should waituntilmore experience

It could. If it requires x amount of resources to work and saves >x resources, then the application is productive.

Anyway, it's hard to find one that uses x and saves >x, that's why I recommended to use the stock task manager. If the phone is unrooted, it will work in background all the time, but it can do it's job.

So basically you're saying that The battery saving apps are no good. So what can I change on my phone to make it work more efficiently. And save battery life.

Nothing. Your phone is managing everything by itself as best as possible.
Save battery: Dim the screen (biggest juice sucker)
    Set time-out to 1 or 2 minutes.
    Turn off auto-sync
    Turn off gps unless using
    Turn off wi-fi unless using.
    Efficiency: Delete unused apps.
    (you can't delete factory apps)
    Use a cache cleaner
    Delete unwanted histories
