Currently there are few one click root application. You can use "Unlock root" or "Super one click Root" windows computer applications. After you install one of theses software, connect your phone to PC and enable USB debugging. Now click Root button.

Hope these info will be helpful!
I am also new to Android and I like to ask about the same topic but somehow different.
I have performed the rooting and it seems that it has smoothly done the job. My question is how can I get the full control of my device (Samsung Galaxy Gio) after rooting?
Do I need to install extra apps for doing those tasks?
Thanks in advance
@simon1-When you root a device the root process itself gives you full control of your device or "Root Access". First go to the market and download and install RootExplorer or some other file manager if you haven't already. RootExplorer allows you to see the folders that are on your phone. VERY IMPORTANT! NEVER! Alter any folder or it's contents without reaserching how it will affect your device. Good luck and keep learning. Android is a great OS.
@simon1
When you say full control, what are you attempting to do? Rooting your phone only gives you root-level access. Anything beyond that will require an app. If we know what you want to do we can point you in a direction or two to accomplish it.![]()
DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACETHIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK
Thanks for the replies.
I have managed to root my phone, and installed Root Explorer, it seems like looking at Windows explorer having access to all the files.
What I like to do is to remove some apps that are installed on ROM and free some space. I have installed apps like App 2 SD and some other to help me move the apps, which has helped me moving the apps to SD but I am still noticing that the amount of ROM is intact. The ROM has max capacity of 180 Mb, and it is already filled with 150 Mb, and the space is not reducing even I have removed some apps.
I was hoping to get some information on how to tackle such after accessing the root.
Thanks for any help to solve this issue.
Why do you need more ROM space?
DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACETHIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK
Because my hotmail account doesn't show new emails and I want more space in case I install apps that needs to be in phone and not on SD.
That's not ROM space, unfortunately. ROM space is a closed-off area that has no impact on the phone's accessible internal memory.
What phone do you have?
DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACETHIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK
I can be wrong by using terms as I am new to Android. By ROM I meant the I use a internal memory space. I use the app Android Assistant and the Task Manager to see how much space is left in the internal or on the SD card.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Gio.
