    Online Ads Help

    Hey Fellow Android Addicts,

    I need some help please....

Can anyone tell me how to block or get rid of the online flash ads you find over screens you want to view online. I don't mean the ads that come with apps, the devs deserve some money in my opinion.

Basically if i want to view streaming sports online i get those pesky flash ads over the screen, the ones adblock for firefox and chrome blocks.

My friend's S2 stock browser blocks them but the stock S3 browser doesn't

I have tried Firefox / Chrome / Dolphin HD / Opera all from the play market but none block them.

Anyway to block these ads without a rooted phone? i imagine there must be if my friends stock S2 browser seems to do it automatically.

All help very much appreciated thx

    Peace

In the browser you will want to get into the settings. Once there you will see an option to load flash only on demand. I can give you the specific directions and key presses if you would like.

    Hi,

Ty for all the welcomes and replies

I have tried the flash on demand setting but that doesn't seem to solve the problem. As you will see in the screenshot below, the chatango chat box on the right of the screen is blocked by the flash on demand setting but them pesky ads are still on the screen that shows the content ( on the left ) Trying to click on the red x to close the ads just brings up pop up screens and the ad stays there.

    Thx again

That doesn't appear to be a flash ad.

An adblocker from the Play Store would do it, but you'd have to be rooted.

Other than that, I'm at a loss. Maybe someone else has an idea, though, so don't give up yet.
