Cannot Download MP3 on Tablet

I have just bought a new Acer Iconia Tablet and am struggling to do some pretty basic stuff. When I try to click on the download link on a website, nothing happens, it is as if the tablet does not recognise this as a link. The only way for me to download MP3 is to click the link on the website using my computer and then drag the downloaded file to my tablet, then it plays no problem. Why doesn't my tablet recognise the link? HELP!!!

Try using a different internet browser. Also make sure you have a music player installed such as MX Player or Google Music or Apollo. Other internet browsers to try: Dolphin HD, Chrome, Firefox, Opera. See which you like best.

To see if it knows the link is their hold your finger on it a menu should pop up copy url.
If you get to copy past in address bar or down load a url downloader from the store
Make sure the page has finished loading,browser settings is java on,
