Exclamation Desperately Want Local/Universal Search Back for Galaxy S3 Verizon SCH-i535

I am looking to install a custom ROM on my rooted galaxy s3 that includes the old search function that searches all data on phone including apps, calendar, documents, etc. If the rom had jelly bean and the best camera available I'd be elated. If I can't find a way to get the search back I'm going to do the unthinkable..... Get the I phone 5.....definite a last resort.

I *think* there was a patch created over on XDA Forum, but like I said in my response to your earlier post, you'll have better luck finding an answer at our sister forum Galaxy S3 Forum

Universal search for Galaxy S3 4.0/4.1

Download the 'Aurora Global Search' app from Google Play or 'Orange Search' app for google. They both function as local search apps on your Jelly Bean or Ice Cream Sandwich (4 or 4.1).
You can return FULL universal search to Android by opening "Google Now" search --then settings- then 'phone search' option check off the option to search the downloaded "Aurora Global" app and you have returned FULL universal search.
