Swype Help
Okay, this is kind of a noob question but I'm going to swallow my pride here. I'm used to using swype and voice to text for EVERYTHING on my sIIx but once I figured out how to set it up on my sIII it was fine in my messaging but won't work on my browser or in any other app. I'm lost without it and don't understand for the life of me what the problem is. The little swype icon doesn't appear on my keyboard, neither does the little microphone as they did on my sIIx(which was updated to ICS). What do I need to do to make it work phone-wide?

Go into settings, language and input, and make sure your settings under "default" is set on Swype and then the Swype keyboard box is checked. You should be good to go.
Welcome to the forum btw.

Thank you
. Turned out I had it right, I just had to do an update. However I'm still not seeing the speech to text voice input button anywhere even though I have it enabled in keyboard settings. Oh, bother!

I was being a derp, my coworker showed me that you just hold down the settings button to change it, the three little dots should have clued me in!
