Unhappy LG G2X stuck at start-up

Ok i downloaded Rom manager so i could go in to the phone and hard reset it. After i did that and hit restart it came back on and the LG screen pops up then goes black and then sits there and does nothing but u can see that its still on its like the brightness keeps going bright then dim then bright over and over and over.

If anyone could help it would be very appreciated.
Its the only phone i have and im unemployed so i do not have money to get another one.

Hello and welcome to Android.net Forum, Slayer!

You don't need ROM Manager to hard reset it. There's an option in the Settings.

Now what you have to do is go to the Recovery mode via ADB. Then you can do the hard reset again to fix it.

For ADB to work, you'll need your phone's USB drivers on your PC, you can get them from the manufacturer's website or Android SDK from here. You will need Android SDK anyway, because it contains the ADB.

If you don't know how to operate ADB, then just open up the command line from the start menu by typing "cmd" in the search field. Once it opens up, type "cd", press space and enter the location of the ADB. It should look like this:
    Code:
    cd C:\Program Files\Android\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64\sdk\platform-tools
Hit enter, then type "adb", press enter again, then type this command:
    Code:
    adb reboot recovery
Your phone should reboot into the Recovery Mode and you'll be able to do a hard reset.

To check if ADB recognizes the phone, type this command:
    Code:
    adb devices
If it does, it'll show you the serial number and "device", if it doesn't, it'll show you nothing or "offline".

    Good luck!

Wait, have you downloaded the SDK? If so, you also need to install the components. You can install them from the SDK Manager.

Slayer, in the future you want to be careful with Rom Manager. It can be quirky at times and has been known in the past (granted, with an OG Droid, not an LG phone) to do exactly the opposite of what you instructed it to do.It's OK to have it around, but I'd try to limit the amount of use I gave it.

You need to install everything inside "Tools" and "Google USB Driver" in "Extras". It may not necessarily be in Program Files, it's just a default location. All the components are stored where you downloaded the SDK. Look inside where you found SDK Manager.

You forgot to input the "cd" before the location. CMD command line needs to understand what you want. Copy this into the Command line:

    Code:
    cd C:\Users\Mrpaul\Downloads\adt-bundle-windows-x86_20130219\sdk\platform-tools
And make sure you carefully follow the instructions.
