Some questions

First off, the android desktop is split into a 4*4 grid correct?
What I want to know is, say you placed a shortcut on the desktop of 1*1 size, now if that icon was a completely solid color.

If you placed the same icon next to it in the next grid, would they join up, or would there be a tiny line separating them?

I think there would be a line of separation, a pretty big line - I am sure the system resizes icons to fit the prepositioned grid and not the other way around...unless you are using a third party launcher like Go - LP - or ADW

Think that you may be able to long press the icon then let go and just resize the 1x1 icon?
