Mobile Application Product Manager

We are seeking an experienced, innovative, senior-level product manager to drive and manage our mobile applications roadmap that includes Unified Rich Communication & Media Services (voice, video, email, IM, and SMS/MMS), mobile account management (including bill payments and digital home phone information access/management), and WiFi access of hotspots. These applications are to be delivered over any fixed and mobile networks to a multitude of devices including PC/laptops, smart phones and tablets. Candidate must have extensive experience creating, developing, launching and managing consumer-facing mobile applications for all device types (PC, handsets and tablets) in multiple operating system environments (Android, iOS, Windows, RIM, etc.)

This high-visibility position entails a high degree of responsibility and accountability given the front-facing nature of the publicly available applications for all customers. It also requires a strong balance of high-level strategic, business development and product marketing responsibilities with day-to-day tasks for successful execution of the mobile application, as well as careful coordination with internal stakeholders, executives and multiple external vendors.
  • This position will be responsible for the product planning and execution of the entire product lifecycle for each application in the product roadmap. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and end-user requirements, defining the features and functionality, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and vendors/partners.

  • Develop and nurture collaborative and productive relationships with executives and key internal stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and prioritization with the overall and specific mobile initiatives.

  • Manage the products & services throughout all stages of the product development life cycle (concept, definition, development, release and post-release activities).

  • Understand customer expectations, maintain competitive analysis, drive the mobile application roadmap, and communicate consistently and clearly with stakeholders and executives.
  • Translate business strategies and consumer needs into beneficial features and applications that improve customer satisfaction, drive revenue and reduce churn.

  • Work with various teams and organizations in Technology, Operations, Customer Care, Sales and Marketing to create additional documents and requirements.

  • Facilitate and conduct review meetings and work closely with internal organizations to clarify and update all documents required for consistent knowledge about applications across the company.

  • Coordinate with a wide variety of functional areas (engineering, operations, care, marketing, finance, sales, business development) to identify and assess product opportunities, product requirements and user scenarios.
