Qualcomm's Gobi chipset comes to mind. I don't know if that's "dual-core" enough, though, for the enthusiast crowd...

Who want the damn thing unlocked anyway!

Now you're just scaring me with all this 'crazy talk'..unlocked, open, universal, leading edge...you must be insane! Tweak that UI, I say...after all, it doesn't cost a dime in further research and development..it's dirt-cheap to do, and will 'differentiate' Moto in the marketplace!

I think the mass exodus from the Droid X to the Thunderbolt shows just how "differentiated" Motorola is in the marketplace.

I'd think "specialiated" might be a better word. Short-bus "specialiated".

Amusing Google results for that 'word', but I'm not buying it...much like any revamped Moto-phone in the near-term. Looks like they're pre-surrendering the silver platter trophy to HTC, et al. on a ...well...silver platter.

If Motorola put even half of the money and time that they wasted in developing blur or by finding the best way to lockdown a great piece of hardware.... They'd be where Samsung is NOW. Samsung has sold so many Galaxy phones it's mind-boggling, plus they haven't wasted resources on horribly unoptimized software overlays like blur.

I swear, the collective mind share of Motorola's board has the equivalent brainpower of a stuffed squirrel.

So as to not affront our stuffed squirrel readership, I will add that I have many more legitimate uses for stuffed squirrels than I do for Moto Directors. For example, stuffed squirrels don't need to hoard or gnaw on anything anymore...can you say that about Moto Directors...hmmm...?

They don't hoard popular opinion, ingenuity, or creativity when put to non-evil uses.

You say that like it's a good thing! (buh duh bump crash!). That, Fuzzy, is the crux of the ducks who plucks in mucks and cheat lucks to beat stucks. IOW, they're short-sighted at best, fools at worst.
