White Nexus 4 Shows Up in Pics; Could it Be Coming at Google I/O?

Google Plus user Ervin Sue shared the above pic and a few more on his Google+ page. The device is obviously a white Nexus 4 which is a whole new animal. Mr. Sue said he received it from a from a buy and sell website, so there is no telling if it is a fake or not. If it is real, then it's possible we might see a new white version of the Nexus 4 at Google I/O this week.

As always we will keep you informed if we find out anymore details.

I'm telling you BK, a white phone is a dirt magnet. I have a white HTC One X in a "white" case (which contradicts the purpose of the white phone, if you think about it), and that case after a year's worth of going in and out of my jeans pocket has acquired permanent blue stains, which I've been unable to scrub off. The solution I suppose, is a new case, but while the dirty gray color of the case has no bearing on the functionality of the phone itself, I honestly would not get another white phone.

In theory, they sound ultra cool, but in the real world they get dirty at an alarming rate.

But if it's covered up, what's the point of going for a white phone? You could just go with a black one, and no one would be the wiser. I wonder though if those glass backs on the N4 would be more resistant to dirt and stains.

Yes, it's pretty. I'm facing a similar dilemma with my Galaxy S3 - it's that really pretty deep red color which is exclusive to AT&T. What I'm debating is, do I get a deep red case for it or use it without the case? I have never dropped one of my phones - never, not even once, so I'm not so much worried about that aspect of it (protection), but if I get a red case it would still be like...let me see if I can give a good analogy. Visualize Redwood siding - the real thing and expensive to boot. OK, now visualize putting it on your house and painting the redwood with a redwood colored paint. You'd know that underneath that paint was 100% original redwood but no one else would, and what is the purpose of it all?

I hear ya loud and clear... I'm usually good with my phones as well.. Nexus being smaller I was able to use without protection.. S3 has a nice feel in hand... Same with s4 I went to play with it last week.. Especially if your not doing construction work pockets in and out works fine..
