Sprint 'One Up' Early Upgrade Program Best of the Bunch; Plus 34 New LTE Markets

We have a couple of news morsels for Sprint today. First, the Now Network's new early upgrade program, called "One Up" was leaked ahead of launch. If the details hold true, its title will also be an apt description of its value because it will be a better deal than the options from Verizon, AT&T, and even T-Mobile. Above you can see a brief chart with a comparison breakdown. The main thing which differentiates Sprint's "One Up" program from the others is that they actually lower their monthly rate plan if you take this option (unlike VZW and AT&T). Here's a quote with a quick breakdown of how their program works,
    • Buy devices with 0$ down payment
    • Pay for the devices in 24 equal monthly installments
    • Trade in your smartphone every 12 months to upgrade (or keep it and pay it off if you want)
    • Enjoy savings of $15 off your monthly rate plan
    • Wash, rinse, and repeat
There are some stipulations to Sprint's program. First, you have to be a Sprint customer for at least a year before you can take advantage of this offer. Also, if you don't currently have an upgrade available, you will have to trade in your current smartphone and it must be in good working condition. Also, this program will not work for prepaid customers and is only available if you have a Sprint contract-style plan.

This is only a leak for now, but we will keep you guys abreast of any new info as it arrives.

We have a bit more Sprint news for this morning. Sprint just activated 34 new 4G LTE markets. They now have a total of 185 4G LTE markets lit-up across the United States. Here's the list below,

Look into this plan. It's not what it seems from what I am reading. Now it is better for Sprint customers that want to upgrade once a year. I want to point out that with T-Mobile it includes the insurance. For insurance on Sprint it's $11 more per month. Also, with T-Mobile you get 2.5 gb hotspot and for Sprint to have hotspot it's $110 for all in plan minus $15 for discount plus $27 per month for phone and $11 for insurance. That's $133 per month. T-Mobile has $70 plus $21 for phone $10 for jump plan and to get extra 2 gb of hotspot to be close to Sprint's 5gb hotspot it's another $10. That totals $111 versus Sprint's $133. T-mobile does charge the $149.99 when buying an iPhone, but it's $22 more per month on Sprint is $264 for the same year. So, T-Mobile is still $114.01 cheaper. Not to mention you can upgrade twice a year on T-Mobile. Guess they think we don't know how to add like plans.
