Samsung Still Holding Froyo Back, But Release New Update
It seems Samsung is still holding back just a bit with their recent release. Today they pushed out an OTA update for the Fascinate owners that still have some bugs on their device. This update is simply a maintenance update, and sadly has no trace of Froyo included. The fixes include GPS and Bluetooth ability to update for 3rd party apps, and improvements like music pauses when you unplug your headphones from the phone.
Regardless of all these fixes, Samsung is still holding back on us and I am sure some people may be pretty unhappy with their purchase.

You bet I am. What really gets me is that Samsung says that they have a goal to sell sixty million devices this year. There is no remote way in hell that is going to happen with customer service such as this. If I switch to the new iPhone, this is going to be why.

Hmm. Eclair wha..
Wait...
LOL. Samsung's back channels have been hot with FroYo since last September. The US phones not getting FroYo is the carriers. I'm almost certain. AT&T is the worlds worst, as everyone knows, and it doesn't surprise me that T-Mobile is doing the same.
EDIT... And VZW.

I can't speak for any other Fascinate owner but I'm extremely happy with mine. Sure I would have liked 2.2 a month or two ago, but aside from it not having flash, I have nothing bad to say about this phone.

I've noticed an awful lot of this hamstringing going on with the mfrs. and sp's, and while sometimes i can see it as
a way for them to make more money, other times, like this instance, i can't see the logic behind it. Maybe it's a
result of infighting between all these manufacturers and service providers?
