Android can start your car or activates home alarm
Here's a cool new device to make use of your Android's talents: The Viper SmartStart from Directed Electronics. With one of their kits installed and the Android App, you can start your car from your house, you can arm the alarm on your house, you can lock and unlock the car, unlock the trunk, trigger the panic alarm, call for help or a tow, or use it to track where the car is parked. Pretty slick! This thing is a bit pricey with the kits starting between $300 and $600 bucks, but perhaps worth it for all the security enhancements. It's actually been out since July, so if any of you guys have one, let us know how you like it in the forums.

Perfect device. Very useful in the winter to warm your vehicle but just as valuable in the summer to cool the vehicle.

If only I had an automatic transmission, I don't like the idea of leaving my car parked in neutral.

I can get a decent remote start for less than $100 so this app just does not seem worth it!!!

just sucks that you have to pay 50 bucks a year to keep the service

I thought I read where GM was going to release an app for their 2011 cars to allow connecting with Android. Remote start, etc. Done through OnStar.
