if the X2 isn't LTE, i guess i can see why they would put it out so close in time to the Bionic. there's probably a market for non-LTE devices, since LTE won't be everywhere for quite some time. but, i'm guessing the DX (and X2) will probably see EOL shortly thereafter, don't you think??

If the rumors hold up the DX will probably see EOL around March/April just in time for the X2 to see a May/June release
...and i'm betting the DX2 will see EOL in less than a year after release. it's hard to imagine that VZW is going to keep giving people a lot of choices for 3g phones, and not "force" them to LTE (by limiting the number of 3g phones) starting mid to late next year.

You are probably right husker : )
correcto Miami...thats what he was saying starting mid to late 2012 the pickings will get slimmer.
Let me ask you this. Are you going LTE on first roll-out?
miami, i think we're essentially sayin the same thing. but here's my thought process, and correct me if i'm way off base: while a lot of people may not want to pay LTE prices, after 2012 i don't think VZW (or any other 4g carrier) is going to make a lot of 3g phones available. because they sunk a ton of money into developing 4g networks, my feeling is that they're going to want to "push" as many people as possible to 4g - by making all (or at least the vast majority) of the new, "cool" phones 4g.
