Hey Motorola Cliq XT owners, have you been waiting for the update to Android 2.1 Éclair? Sorry, but it seems you will not be getting it from Motorola. After promising 2.1 for the XT users, the developers reportedly did quite a bit of testing and even borrowed code done by some ROM chef’s on their Cliq forum to better their own build of Android. They recently concluded that getting Android 2.1 update for the Cliq isn’t possible due to the lack of powerful enough hardware to produce consistent user experience that's pleasurable.
