When Amazon reported that they were developing their own App store, many requested a launch date, well now it seems we have it. Wired has a trusted source that thinks they have the correct launch date for this new App store alternative. Tuesday March 22nd is being pinned in by the tech site as the day that Amazon will cut the ribbons for the new implementation and house the shop under the URL Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more. The difference between the original Market is that apps sold on it will need to go through an approval process, and will have the option to enable DRM protection to help prevent piracy. This is not naturally done by Google, so you might see more support for this market by developers. The final selling point is the fact that Amazon has a working payment system in more countries than Google does, and that means more people will be able to shop for apps.
