BGR reported recently that Sprint will be "ditching" mail-in rebates in favor of instant savings starting March 27th and lasting for an unspecified period of time. Here's a quote from the Sprint spokesperson,
“Sprint will temporarily replace mail-in rebates in most channels, including our company-owned retail stores, with instant savings.”
This is pretty neat taking it at face-value, but pretty incredible when taken in context of all the great things Sprint has been doing lately for their customers or potential customers. First they offer a $125 dollar credit for smartphone users that switch to them, then they reiterate their commitment to "truly unlimited data". And, of course, they have been getting some amazing phones, like the HTC EVO and its new dual-core brother the HTC EVO 3D. It seems that "The Now Network" is really getting hyper-competitive.
