    Samsung Releases Droid Charge Source Code




    Say what you will about Samsung and their shady business practices with keeping up to date on the latest Android firmware. But you have to hand it to them, they still fall in line when it comes to Google’s Open Handset Alliance.

    Take the Droid Charge (formerly Droid Stealth) for instance. Samsung has just released the source code in their Open Source Release Center for ROM modders to dive in and begin cooking custom ROMs for a phone they haven’t even laid hands on yet.

    That is the first idea they have had in awhile that can be great. Not picking on Samsung but maybe its because modders are better than their own employees? I think they are doing it because it is cheaper for them.

    Not the first time I've heard that theory. Anybody wonder why the Fascinate has had so many Froyo "leaks"? We still don't have an official release from Verizon.
