On June 9th, Sprint and Motorola are holding a press event, and word on the street is that they will be announcing a new Android phone, called the Photon 4G. This new phone is said to be similar to the Atrix 4G. It boasts some impressive features:
  • Dual-Core Tegra 2 chip
  • WiMAX connectivity
  • Rumored GSM connectivity for global roaming
  • 4.3-inch qHD (540 x 960) screen
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 8MP camera
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • Atrix-like Laptop Dock

There are no details about pricing, but additional intel suggests that availability may be as soon as July. This is an impressive looking device! We will definitely keep an eye (or two) out for this one...
