Yesterday there was news out of HTC that the HTC Desire would not be getting a Gingerbread update. It appears that today, they have retracted that are reversing their position. Now, the Desire will be getting a Gingerbread update, although no time frame was indicated. Here's the quote from HTC,
Contrary to what we said earlier, we are going to bring Gingerbread to HTC Desire.
It doesn't get any simpler or more clear than that I suppose.
