Huawei Unveils MediaPad, First 7-Inch Tablet to Run Android 3.2

Yes, you read that right, a 7-inch Android tablet is apparently coming forth from Huawei, and will be running Android 3.2, which apparently is a 7-inch optimization of Honeycomb. The Huawei tablet, the MediaPad, is set to launch with Flash 10.3, Twitter, Facebook and more built in along with a 1.3MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera for HD video recording. The device is only 0.4 inches thick, only 0.06 inches thicker then the Samsung Galaxy 10.1, and weighs in at just over a quarter of a pound. Huawei has said that they will begin launching in various markets in the 3rd quarter, but nothing concrete as of yet.

That is very interesting. May wait a little longer on a tablet then.

I'm thinking the same...though Huwawei has pretty much zero track record here.

However, that's the joy of tech like this. There's ALWAYS someone more eager than you are to buy, try, and try to break a device. We should have a good report back on this within a month of it dropping.
