    T-Mobile G2, MyTouch 4G In-Store Upgrade To Gingerbread Info

    Beginning August 6th (August 13th for others) T-mobile will be upgrading G2's or myTouch 4G's to Android 2.3/Gingerbread in-store for free. This was originally scheduled for August 5th, but some minor issues caused a delay. To get the upgrade the owner just walks into a T-Mobile retail store and they will update the phone using an SD card provided by the store. This update fixes a few bugs, adds a few apps, but is mainly just to bring your phone to the latest and greatest Android OS.

    If you're a G2 or MyTouch4G owner that wants the latest software from Google, mark that date on your calender and be ready to enjoy a new experience.

    It's a wonderful thing. This is also if you don't want to wait for ota or if your worried your going to jack up your phone.
