Android Tablet Market Share Now At 27%
Just last year the iPad owned 100% of the tablet market, but that is changing quite rapidly. Since the original Galaxy Tab and following Android tablets were released the Android market share has been growing, but not by much. After Samsung captured the attention of consumers with their near-perfect tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and Acer introduced the well-priced Transformer, these numbers have been increasing at an impressive rate.
Just last month, Amazon announced the new Kindle Fire and are reportedly getting 50,000 pre-orders everyday according to leaked internal documents. This means Android will surely see a significant spike in market share whenever Amazon releases this new tablet.
